Clarry said a "lack of three-year-old fillies races in Sydney" prompted him to send Satin Shoes straight to Melbourne bypassing the Sydney leg of the spring carnival.
"It's ridiculous, they do not cater for three-year-old fillies in Sydney during the spring," Conners said.
"There are very few options for a horse like her in Sydney."
Clarry recently floated the daughter of Flying Spur to Melbourne where she took part in a private jump-out at Geelong.
"She went super in the jump-out, Michael Rodd rode her and he was very happy," he said.
"He stays on for Saturday and I'm expecting a very big run from her first-up, she's in extremely good order."
The trainer said his filly would campaign exclusively in Melbourne with her main target being the Group I Coolmore Stud Stakes (1200m) at Flemington on October 30.
"She'll stay there because of the programming up here (Sydney), we're looking at the Coolmore," he added.
Satin Shoes was given the steadier of 58.5kg when weights were released on Tuesday.
