: Decision Time has had hit final hitout at Doomben this morning before contesting Saturday’s Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap.

Clarry  has elected to give Decision Time a jumpout after he was scratched from the QTC Cup (1300m) last Saturday due to the rain affected surface on offer at Eagle Farm.

“I didn’t run him last week because of the track,”

“His main goal has always been the Stradbroke so I had to do something with him.

“We had a good surface this morning so we jumped him out over 840m and he went very well, I’m very happy with him.”

Decision Time   is currently quoted at $31 with TAB Sportsbet Fixed Odds for the Stradbroke Handicap.

The Foreplay gelding goes into the event after running third in the Luskin Star Stakes (1300m) at Scone behind one of his rivals here, Fontelina  .

The Stradbroke hopeful meets Fontelina 1.5kg better off at the weights after finishing 1.7 lengths off him after a somewhat unlucky last start outing.

“He should have won at Scone I think,”  .

“He got too far back and couldn’t get out but kept hitting the line.

“He had 60.5kg in that race and he gets into this race pretty nice and this is the race we’ve been planning for.

“He is a lovely horse and he is going great.”
